Rooting for Kenya-Poland cooperation in mining, blue economy and maritime affairs
Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs Cabinet Secretary Hassan Ali Joho and the Polish Ambassador to Kenya Mirosław Gojdź seek to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the areas of mining, blue economy and maritime affairs.
Ambassador Gojdź, who paid a courtesy call on CS Joho at his office at the Ministry headquarters in Nairobi, agreed on the need for closer collaboration in the three sectors to ensure local communities get maximum benefit.
CS Joho said he is keen on extensive consultation, sharing of ideas, knowledge and experiences on matters relating to mining, blue economy and maritime affairs.
“This is among the many approaches that will ensure robust implementation of programmes and activities of the Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs,” the Cabinet Secretary said.
Also present in that meeting were Principal Secretaries Mr. Elijah Mwangi (Mining), Ms. Betsy Njagi (Blue Economy and Fisheries) and Hon. Geoffrey Kaituko (Maritime Affairs and Shipping).
